  • Velos Introduces The ‘Single Click’ System Solution For Dialysis

San Francisco, CA — February 4, 2004 — Velos, Inc., an innovative healthcare software provider, announced today the release of a complete, end-to-end product and service solution for renal care. Dialysis centers and nephrologists require information system capabilities to support patient care, billing, claims processing, system and machine integration, physician support, regulatory compliance, and other administrative needs. Velos has solved all these information challenges within one integrated, ‘single click’ system.

“Velos has always taken an integrated approach to renal information management,” notes John McIlwain, President of Velos. “Now, with the release of our HIPAA-compliant transaction sets and other enhancements, information flows from the dialysis machine through payment collection in one fully integrated cycle. This ‘single click’ approach results in much more efficient information operations, better cash flow, and often higher revenues for Velos customers.”

The Company’s products are also easily configured to meet the unique needs of each customer. David Scott, President of Automated Solutions, Inc. (ASI), Velos’ sales and service partner, observes: “We are able to implement Velos in a shorter period of time, which significantly lowers the total customer investment for a project. Our customers are pleased we can offer quick, flexible system installations.”

Velos Specialty Division designs, develops, and supports an integrated suite of clinical, administrative, and financial products for each of the cardiology/CV surgery, dialysis and transplantation markets. Over 100 healthcare organizations use Velos Specialty products today.
