  • Phase I STS Certification

    Minneapolis, MN - February 15, 2000 - Velos Medical Informatics, Inc. today announced that its Velos Cardiology and Cardiothoracic Surgery information system has been Phase I certified by the Society of Thoracic Surgeons for use by participants in the STS National Cardiac Surgery Database. Velos Cardiology and Cardiothoracic Surgery is a scalable information system designed to meet a wide range of customer needs in the cardiovascular market.

    “STS Phase I certification is an important, integral component of the Velos product line,” said John McIlwain, CEO. “STS customers will now be able to participate in the STS National Database submission to validate their individual facility performance with bench-marking of similar sized institutions on a regional and national level. At a local level it will allow analyzing data to maximize utilization of the healthcare dollars while maintaining a high level of patient care.”
