Velos Releases Advanced System Administrator Suite for Clinical Research Customers
— Administrators take possession of tool once residing with Velos technical group
Fremont, CA - April 26, 2007 - Velos, Inc., the recognized leader and trusted resource for clinical trial management information systems for large investigator sites, today announced that it is handing over the power and control of its tool for system configuration, data migrations, custom reporting and third party data submissions. Velos eTools, a companion product to Velos eResearch will now reside with Velos eResearch customers for immediate access by research administrators. Previously, the Velos technical services group had sole possession of this product, supporting customer requests for those functions.
"With most other products, addressing these needs requires third party tools, expensive services, and additional staff," said Velos President and CEO, John S. McIlwain. "Now, such needs can be addressed by Velos system administrators at a fraction of the cost." Velos eTools also reduces the need to access the system at the database or back-end level. Database-level actions can be performed from within the safe and regulatory-compliant framework of the Velos eResearch application.
Velos eResearch is the comprehensive, powerful and flexible system infrastructure for clinical research management that can be configured to robustly support a diverse set of clinical research needs and interests across research enterprises.
"The return on investment from Velos eTools can be vast and varied," said Priti Sahai, MD, Vice President of Product Development. "For Velos eResearch system administrators at customer sites, there's an opportunity to unlock value through robust information capture and reporting. Velos eTools empowers system administrators to serve a diverse community of users effectively and affordably."
Velos eResearch customers currently apply Velos on clinical trials in over 40 specialty, subspecialty, and departmental areas. Customers use Velos eResearch today to address functional needs ranging from study planning and budgeting, to study administration, to clinical data management and trial database lock-all through one integrated solution. The system platform consolidates the patchwork of manual or partially-automated systems, and serves a diverse community of individual researchers and clinical trial managers through a unified, integrated system platform.
