Velos Executive And UCSF Comprehensive Cancer Center Professionals to Present at the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SoCRA) 15th Annual Conference
Fremont, CA — September 19, 2006 — Velos, Inc., provider of the market-leading Velos eResearch clinical trial management system, today announced that its Executive Vice President, Amar Chahal, MD, will present at the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SoCRA) 15th Annual Conference at the Chicago Marriott Downtown in Chicago, IL, September 22-24, 2006. The presentation, which addresses off-shoring trends in clinical research and reviews likely responses, is scheduled for Saturday, September 23rd at 3 PM. Twenty top twenty-five medical centers, as rated in U.S. News and World Report’s 2006 Best Hospitals Survey, use Velos eResearch for clinical trial management.
In addition, two posters will also be presented by professionals from the UCSF Comprehensive Cancer Center. The first poster is entitled “Electronic Data Capture in Clinical Trials Management” (Fein, Beverly; Castro, De’Anna; Kimura, Karen). A companion poster authored by the NeuroOnology group led by Susan M. Chang, MD is entitled: “Making Our Electronic Database Work for Us” (DeBoer, Rebecca; Kivett, Valerie; Lamborn, Kathleen; Chang, MD, Susan). The posters will be presented by Beverly Fein, Rebecca DeBoer, and Valerie Kivett and focus on how UCSF implemented Velos eResearch for clinical trial management at the UCSF Comprehensive Cancer Center.
