Velos Unveils Power Reporting For Renal and Transplant Markets
San Francisco, CA - December 18, 2001 - Velos, an
innovative healthcare software and internet services vendor, today
announced Release 3.1.5 of Velos Clinical which includes a major new
reporting subsystem called Power Reporting for its renal and
transplant customers. This release represents the third and final
component of a three-part product strategy to deliver the most
comprehensive, clinically-centered information system for the renal
and transplant markets.
“This release is the culmination of
years of working with customers and millions of dollars of
investment,” summarizes John McIlwain, President and CEO. “A lot of
the visible value, the “wow,” comes with Release 3.1.5 and Power
Reporting. That we’re able to go from design to development to
delivery of this major reporting system in little more than three
months is testimony to the care and thought that went into the
underlying system design. Velos renal and transplant customers
benefit from a system that will evolve with them for years as their
needs change. Velos Clinical is unmatched in these markets for that
reason. To me, this is customer value.”
Earlier this year,
Velos completed the release of a new version of Velos Clinical and
integrated it with Velos Financial. In doing so, Velos put into
production the first system for the renal market on modern
relational and object-oriented technology platforms that supports
the patient encounter through billing in one, fully integrated,
information system. These first two components of the Velos product
line address the clinical and financial operating needs of the renal
and transplant community. As the final component, Velos Power
Reporting is an integrated, internet-accessible reporting and
analysis system. Velos Power Reporting enables users to apply the
rich information captured by Velos Renal for improved real-time
patient care, continuous quality improvement and
research.
Velos Power Reporting will be released for renal
and transplant customers in the first quarter of 2002. Renal and
transplant customers can also benefit from a new Patient Imaging
Module. In addition, Velos renal customers can look forward to a new
KT/V modeling subsystem, and Velos transplant customers will receive
significant upgrades to Kaplan Maier reporting, UNOS interfacing and
reporting, along with a new Heart and Lung module.
